Final Score 5 - 0
Goal Scorers Connor x 3, Niall x 1, Aidan x 1

Comments The Condors decided in their wisdom to play football all through the break bewteen matches - leaving them tired for the second match. However their much improved passing game again paid dividends, leading them to their 7th consecutive league win. After breaking his duck last week - it looks like Aidan may be trying to make a regular thing of scoring - after netting his second with a superb close range header from a corner supplied by Niall.

Against Washington Tigers
Final Score 1 - 3
Goal Scorers Niall x 1
Man of the match Daniel
Comments A lack of concentration and a fair few strange decisions (or non-decisions) by the referee led to first league defeat for The Condors. They battled on, but their passing game seemed to go out the window. A good individual goal by Naill but them back in the hunt, but unfortunately they could capitalise on it.

After Daniel won a penalty in the 2nd half Jak (Our goalkeeper) placed the ball on the spot and hammered it into the top corner to score his 1st goal. We told him he would get 1 this season, and we were true to our word. Condors are still soaring high at the top of the table.

Against Silksworth Boys
Final Score 1 - 1
Goal Scorers Daniel x 1
Man of the match Daniel
Comments Silksworth took the lead in the 1st half, leaving The Condors trailing. They kept their heads up, and finally equalised in the second half with Daniel finally remembering that he was allowed to score with his right foot and not just his left (despite being right footed). A very close game.

Date 11th November 2006
Against Bowburn Boys
Final Score 4 - 0
Goal Scorers Connor x 2, Niall x1, Jordan x 1
Man of the match Connor
Comments Well the heavens opened 10 minutes before kick-off and it never let up. The kids, all wearing coats battled well against Bowburn in a shorter game than normal (by aggreement of the ref and both managers). Not the prettiest of games, but hardly suprising in the circumstances.

Comments Despite the matches been cancelled last weekend (due to water logged pitches) The Condors passing game wasn't effected. A good all round perfomance and 5 different goal scores. A good result all round.

Date 2nd December 2006
Against Plains Farm Yellows
Final Score 5 - 0
Goal Scorers Daniel x 1, Niall x 2, Connor x 2
Man of the match Daniel
Comments The Condors continue on their quest to win the league with another impressive performance. Another 5 goals taking their goal difference to astromical figures.

Date 9th December 2006
Against Fullwell
Final Score 0 - 0
Goal Scorers
Man of the match Kai
Comments Unfortunatly Aidan was unwell and couldn't play this weekend. So with only 6 on the pitch we asked for extra effort from all the players and they didn't fail to give it. At times this game was nail biting with end to end action. However from a spectators point of view it must have been one of the best matches all season. The opistions manager said it was hard to choose a man of the match with all 6 players being elligable.

Date 9th December 2006
Against Easington Merlins
Final Score 3 - 0
Goal Scorers Daniel x 2, Kai x 1
Man of the match Jordan
Comments The Easington Derby. A much hyped game as you may expect with kids from both teams having their varying opinions all week at school. Plus a bit of a confidence boost for the Merlins when The Condors only had 6 players available. At half time the score stood at 0 - 0. The Condors finally broke the deadlock early in the second half when daniel found the back of the net, giving them confidence, and making them constantly pressure The Merlins. A goal by Kai, and a second for Daniel this time from the penalty spot gave The Condors the 3 points. It should also be noted that for the defence and goalkeeper - this is the 6th clean sheet in a row

Date 16th December 2006
Against Lumley FC Alpha
Final Score 1 - 0
Goal Scorers Kai x 1
Man of the match Connor
Comments A good game from start to finish - Lumley's goal keeper was superb and thwarted many goal attempts by The Condors. The goal that gave The Condors the win was one of the best this year from a team point of view - with at least 5 of the players playing key roles in the build-up.

Date 16th December 2006
Against Grindon Boys
Final Score 1 - 0
Goal Scorers Jordan x 1
Man of the match Daniel
Comments

The condors new at the start of the match - that a win in this match would make them Division 1 champions. A hard fought battle ensued with missed opotunities but a lot of good play. The deadlock was finally broken in the second half when jordan found the back of the net - securing the win and the Division 1 title for The Condors.

Premiership - HERE WE COME!!!

Date 6th January 2007
Against Byers Green
Final Score 5 - 0
Goal Scorers Daniel x 3, Connor x 2
Man of the match Kai
Comments

After the xmas break, the cob-webs were quickly blown away and the team got back down to business. Some excellent football saw a 5 - 0 victory to the Condors - An excellent start to 2007. As the league was allready won, a few changes were made, including Jak (goalkeeper) battling away on the left wing, and a debut for Ryan (recently signed). Jordan got his first chance to play in goal for the Condors and kept a clean sheet.

Date 6th January 2007
Against Washington Tigers
Final Score 0 - 2

Comments

Well although they blew the cob-webs away in the 1st match, they seemed to come back with a vengence in the 2nd. Either that or Washington simply didn't let them play - by there quick closing down of our players. The Condors seemed to let the passing game go out the window again, which ultimately led to their 2nd defeat of the season. Unfortunately they couldn't score 1 goal in this match - which would have been their 100th in the league. But despite this defeat the stats for the Condors speak for themselves.

Played 28, Won 24, Drwan 2, Lost 2 - Totalling 74points.

Goals scored - 99, Goals conceded - 8.

These totals have given them the division 1 championship - and promotion to the premier division.
